Equity Policy

This policy applies to all Club representatives who act as the public face the of the Club and who carry out tasks on behalf of the Club

This Club is committed to providing equality of opportunity for everyone who wishes to participate in aquatic activities, to the level of their choice and with due regard to the need to promote equality of opportunity between:

·        Persons of different religious belief

·        Persons of different racial background

·        Persons of different ages

·        Girls and boys in general

·        Persons with a disability and persons without

Everyone involved in Broadstairs Lifeguard and Swimming Club needs to recognise that their own practice may not be as equitable as it should but is prepared to change and encourage others to change and deliver a more equitable club to everyone.

The Club also wishes to remind members and families that there is an expectation that they also abide by the spirit of this policy.
