Here are the distances swum last night in the Main Pool, in about 30-35 minutes per session for the 7.30 and 8.15 group.
The 9.00 group did a timed 25 minute swim, where their lengths are counted during the allotted time and compared against previous timed swims of the same time, to assess their progress.
Unfortunately due to a shortage of teachers due to illness, we had to switch the weeks around and so we did not have swimmers previous distance award information with us last evening. Some of the distances may already have been achieved for Award purposes and some may be new targets that were hit!
Please remember that the Awards are staged in set distances, so for instance your child may have actually swum 650m or 700m, but the closest award has to be rounded down to 600m
Awards cannot be given if a swimmer walks any of the distance, stops at the end, pulls on the lane rope, spends too long adjusting goggles, etc.
Awards should be ready for collection next week and/or the week after.
